Adding Budy

Follow these steps to add Budy to your Zoom account:

  1. Login to Zoom:

    • Open your web browser and go to Zoom.

    • Log in with your Zoom account credentials.

  2. Navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace:

    • Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner.

    • Select "App Marketplace" from the dropdown menu.

  3. Search for Budy:

    • In the App Marketplace, use the search bar to look for "Budy."

    • Select the Budy app from the search results.

  4. Add Budy to Zoom:

    • Click on the "Install" button.

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to authorize Budy and add it to your Zoom account.

  5. Complete Installation:

    • Once installed, Budy will appear in your Zoom Apps. You can start using it immediately.

 

Using Budy

 

Budy integrates with Slack to provide real-time assistance. Here’s how to use Budy:

  1. Connect Budy to Slack:

    • After installing Budy, follow the prompts to link your Slack account.

    • In Slack, you will see Budy as a bot.

  2. Messaging Budy:

    • Open Slack and start a new message with Budy.

    • Type your question or command, and Budy will respond in real-time.

    • To have Budy join your meeting, simply chat with Budy and say /join-meeting with the meeting link

  3. Features and Use-Cases:

    • Real-Time Help: Ask Budy questions about your Zoom meetings, participants, and settings.

    • Meeting Management: Use Budy to schedule, start, and manage your Zoom meetings directly from Slack.

    • Reminders: Set reminders for upcoming meetings and get notified in Slack.

Removing Budy

 

If you need to remove Budy from your Zoom account, follow these steps:

  1. Login to Zoom:

    • Open your web browser and go to Zoom.

    • Log in with your Zoom account credentials.

  2. Navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace:

    • Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner.

    • Select "App Marketplace" from the dropdown menu.

  3. Manage Added Apps:

    • Click on "Manage" in the top-right corner.

    • Select "Added Apps" from the dropdown menu.

  4. Remove Budy:

    • Find the "Budy" app in the list.

    • Click on the "Budy" app, then click "Remove."

Implications of Removing Budy:

  • Removing Budy will disconnect it from your Zoom and Slack accounts.

  • Any data stored by Budy will be deleted as per our data removal policy.
